Azule Energy and NGC partners inaugurate Gas Treatment Plant in Soyo
The National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (“ANPG”), and Azule Energy, operator of the New Gas Consortium (“NGC”), announced the official inauguration of the Gas Treatment Plant in Soyo, province of Zaire.
The NGC project is Angola’s first non-associated gas development, with a processing capacity of approximately 400 million standard cubic feet of gas per
day (MMscfd) and 20,000 barrels of condensate per day.
Gas is sourced from the offshore Quiluma and Maboqueiro field platforms and supplied to the Angola LNG plant for export.
Azule Energy is proud to support the Professional and Community Internship Program 2024/25, which celebrated its Certificate Awarding Ceremony on 5 November 2025 at the Faculty of Law of Agostinho Neto University in Luanda.
Over a six-month period, 150 young graduates from eight provinces gained practical experience across key fields including Health, Engineering, Economics, and Law. The program plays a vital role in strengthening youth employability and promoting sustainable development by investing in Angola’s human capital.
Azule Energy, ANPG and Block 18 Partners continue to champion opportunities that empower the next generation. The program is implemented by Development Workshop Angola (DW), whose work has been instrumental in delivering lasting impact.
Congratulations to all interns, mentors, and partners for their dedication and achievements
The Oil and Gas Decarbonization Charter (OGDC) has released its 2025 Status Report at COP30 in Belém, Brazil, marking another year of collective progress across the global oil and gas sector.
Azule Energy has been a signatory since the inception of the OGDC Charter and remains fully committed to its objectives. In 2025, we launched an intensive decarbonization sprint for GtP and Olombendo, developing Marginal Abatement Cost Curves (MACC) and enhancing our capabilities in methane management, reporting and strategic planning. These efforts will continue into 2026 as we broaden our analysis to additional assets.
Earlier this month, our CEO represented Azule at the OGDC CEO Gathering in Abu Dhabi, joining more than 30 leaders from signatory companies. The outcomes of this high-level forum will help shape OGDC’s priorities for 2026 and beyond, reinforcing our role in the global energy transition.
