Field Visit to the Kitabanga Marine Turtles Conservation Project

An Azule Energy team visited the Kitabanga Marine Turtles Study and Conservation Project in Longa, which is one of the environmental initiatives proudly supported by our company.

During the visit, colleagues from various departments learned more about the project’s conservation actions, community involvement, and the positive impact of our partnership in protecting Angola’s marine biodiversity.

Community School Visit
The team visited the rehabilitated community school, where children showcased creative artwork made from recycled materials. Certificates were awarded in recognition of their talent and commitment to sustainability.

Project Facilities Tour
Colleagues toured the Longa base and the artisanal atelier, followed by a workshop presenting the project’s achievements, ongoing challenges, and future priorities.

Turtle Release
The day concluded with the release of newborn turtles into the sea — a powerful and inspiring moment underscoring the importance of marine conservation.
