Meet Jenifer Nzoanene, our Business Development Advisor
“I started working at Azule Energy on day one. I have been here from the very beginning.”
Jenifer began her career as a Business Advisor in the Block 15/06 Finance Team and, in January 2025, transitioned to her current role as Advisor in the Business Development Team, where she plays an important part in shaping Azule’s portfolio and supporting the company’s long-term energy transition strategy.
For her, the best part about working at Azule is the people.
“I am a people person, and I love that my role allows me to interact with colleagues from different departments and functions. It makes every day interesting.”
Having contributed to Azule’s transition process from the very start, she takes pride not only in how far the company has come but also in her own growth.
Beyond her core role, she has been an active member of the Azule Women Network and a Personal Ownership Workshop Facilitator, helping to empower others within the organisation.
“Every day is a learning experience. I am still relatively new in this position, and I am motivated by how much there is to learn and discover.”
When asked what motivates her, she points to the company’s diverse and collaborative culture and her fun, supportive team.
“Despite the seriousness of our roles, working within my team is actually quite fun!”
Looking to the future, she hopes to see greater representation and opportunity.
“As an Angolan woman, I hope to see more people who look like me in leadership positions.”
And her advice to anyone starting a career at Azule?
“No role is too small. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade; do what you can with what you were given and make the most of it.”
